ColdKey is a simple utility to disable Hot-Key combinations in Windows 2000 and Windows XP Desktop; or Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Services.
The ColdKey Password is used for this dialog and for exiting ColdKey. The Password is not case sensitive.
You can disable ColdKey Settings for the currently logged in user, which is located in the registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Visual Automation\ColdKey
The ColdKeyEnabled REG_DWORD setting is 1 if enabled and 0 if disabled for the current user. By checking the Monitor Registry checkbox, ColdKey will monitor this registry value for manipulation by a different program.
You can disable the ColdKey menu for non-administrators.
If you choose to not display the tray icon, you can get to the settings again by launching ColdKey again. It will still require a password.
You should choose to automatically start ColdKey, which is a setting in the registry.
When the OK or Apply button is clicked, for the currently logged in user, the settings are saved for that user. If Save As Default is checked, the default settings are saved also. Default settings are used when there are no settings for the currently logged in user.
Each tab has a list of HotKey combinations. Simply check the keys that you wish to disable.
ColdKey configuration is now stored in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Visual Automation\ColdKey\coldkey.xml
